From scattered files to one dashboard you can check

We turn the files, databases and system exports your company already holds into reports and Power BI dashboards that management can read. We write down every figure's definition before any chart is drawn, and we check a sample of records against the source before delivery.

Overview

Most companies already hold the data they need. It sits in Excel files, exports from a sales system, an accounting tool and a few databases, and each source gives a slightly different answer. Meetings then start with an argument about which number is right.

We begin with the questions management needs answered, and we agree the definition of each KPI in writing before any chart is drawn. Then we connect the sources, clean the data, build the model and the dashboard, and match a sample of records by hand against the source before delivery.

The dashboard is built in your own Power BI account, so it stays with you and you can change it. We commit to deliverables, checks and dates. We do not promise a business result.

This service fits you if

  • Your monthly report is rebuilt by hand from several Excel files, and it arrives late or different every time.
  • Sales, finance and operations show different totals for the same period.
  • You have a dashboard that nobody trusts or opens, and you want it repaired rather than replaced.
  • Management asks for figures by branch, product, customer or employee, and answering takes days.
  • Your data is spread across a sales system, an accounting tool and spreadsheets that never meet.
  • You are unsure which KPIs deserve tracking, and want them defined before anyone builds charts.

What weakens management reporting

Two numbers for one question

When each team calculates a KPI its own way, meetings turn into debates about the data instead of decisions.

Manual monthly reports

Copying and pasting between files takes time every period and brings in mistakes that nobody notices until a decision depends on them.

Dashboards built before the definitions

Charts drawn first and defined later look finished but answer the wrong question, and then they are rebuilt.

Source data that was never checked

Duplicates, blanks and inconsistent names flow straight into the totals. The report looks precise and is wrong.

A dashboard you do not own

If the report lives in the supplier's account, you lose access to it when the relationship ends.

What you receive

Every deliverable is written or runnable, and you can check it before you pay for the stage that follows.

KPI definition sheet

One page per KPI: what it measures, how it is calculated, which source it comes from and who owns it. You approve it before any chart is built.

Source map

A list of every file, system and database used, how each is reached, and how often its data changes.

Cleaned data and data model

The sources combined into one structure, with the cleaning rules written down: duplicates, blanks, inconsistent names and date formats.

Power BI dashboard

The dashboard or dashboards you agreed, such as an executive view, or a sales, finance, customer or branch view, built in your own account.

Reconciliation record

A written record of the sample of records we matched by hand against the source, and what we found.

Scheduled refresh

Where your sources allow it, the report updates on a schedule, so the periodic report no longer needs manual assembly.

Usage guide

A short guide to reading and refreshing the dashboard, with the definition behind every figure in it.

How a data and dashboard project runs

Five steps, from the first question to a dashboard in your account.

  1. 1

Agree the questions and KPI definitions

After a free call we identify the decisions the dashboard supports and define each KPI and its sources. A simple dashboard proceeds directly to a written offer. Work requiring a custom system or enterprise integrations needs a paid diagnostic with agreed deliverables.

Your part: You approve the KPI definitions and decide who sees each figure. You read the scope and costs before agreeing.

  2. 2

Fixed offer, then connect and clean the sources

We write the scope, KPIs, sources and acceptance criteria into a fixed-price offer. After the first payment, we connect the sources with temporary read access, clean the data and write down the cleaning rules.

Your part: You approve the offer and pay the first payment, which is 40%. You confirm the cleaning rules match how your business counts, for example how returns are treated.

  3. 3

    Build and preview

We build the data model and the first dashboard on your data, and we show it running, not as still images.

Your part: You check the figures you already know, then pay the second payment, which is 30%.

  4. 4

    Reconcile and test

We match a sample of records by hand against the source, test the refresh and fix every difference we find. The results go into a written reconciliation record.

Your part: You compare the dashboard with numbers you know and accept it in writing, then pay the last payment, which is 30%. The final files are handed over after it.

  5. 5

    Hand over in your accounts

The dashboard is delivered in your own Power BI account with a short usage guide. We work with temporary access and leave the accounts after handover. Fixes for defects are free for 14 days after delivery.

Your part: You confirm the handover and decide whether to add an optional monthly plan.

What we need from you

  • Access to the files, exports, systems or databases that hold the data. We use temporary access, read-only where possible.
  • A decision-maker who owns the KPI definitions and approves them in writing.
  • One person who knows how the numbers are produced today, to answer our questions.
  • A list of who should see which figures: management, branch heads, staff.
  • A Power BI account in your name. If sharing the dashboard needs licences, they are priced separately and opened in your name.
  • Time to compare the preview with numbers you already know.

What this looks like in practice

How to start

A simple dashboard starts with a free call and a written offer: one dashboard on your data in 10–14 days. We define KPIs, sources and refresh requirements before building. The paid diagnostic is for projects requiring a custom system or enterprise integrations.

Profit or KPI dashboard on your data

One dashboard that brings your main data sources together, so the decision-maker sees the same numbers the team works with.

Questions about this service

Do I need clean data before we start?

No. Cleaning is part of the work. We inspect each source, write down the rules for duplicates, blanks and inconsistent names, and show them to you so you can confirm they match how your business counts. We need access to the sources and a person who knows how the numbers are produced today. If a source itself is incomplete, we say so in the reconciliation record rather than hide it.

How do I know the numbers are right?

In two steps. First, we write down each KPI definition and agree it with you before any chart is built. Second, we match a sample of records by hand against the source before delivery and record the result in a written document you can read. You then compare the dashboard with numbers you already know, and accept it only after that. We check the work we deliver; we do not promise a business result.

Where does the dashboard live, and who owns it?

The dashboard is built in your own Power BI account and stays with you, and your team can change it. If sharing it needs licences, they are priced separately and opened in your name, as are any external subscriptions. We work with temporary access and leave the accounts after handover. Final files are handed over after the last payment.

What happens to my data and my customers' personal data?

We build on aggregated, anonymised or sample data wherever possible, and your customers' personal data stays in your own accounts. We may use modern software tools and technical services to carry out the work, without entering the client's personal data into any of them unless the client agrees in writing. Every delivery is reviewed by a person before it reaches you, and a named person is accountable for it.

Can you improve a dashboard or report I already have?

Yes. We review the current dashboard or report, agree the KPI definitions with you, then repair the data model or redesign the view. This includes turning traditional Excel files into interactive reports. The same rules apply as for any project: a written scope, a working preview before the second payment, and written acceptance before the last.

How can I try the dashboard experience before starting?

Try the executive dashboard on the Demos page with its sample data. For your project we agree KPI definitions and numerical acceptance criteria. You see a working version before the second payment and reconciliation results before final acceptance.
